The championship celebrates traditional sauna craftsmanship, focusing on heat,
humidity, scent, towel techniques and storytelling.

Due to a major international choir festival taking place in Helsingborg between 6–16 August 2026, hotel availability may be limited. We therefore recommend booking your accommodation as early as possible. For hotels, hostels and other accommodation options, please visit Visit Helsingborg.

Free Competitor Camping

To support competitors, the organizer offers up to six large scout tents free of charge on a first come, first served basis. Each tent provides separate sleeping compartments and offers a simple but comfortable accommodation alternative during the championship weekend. If you are interested in reserving a tent, please indicate this in your registration or contact the organizers.

The Nordic Championship takes place at Kallis, one of Scandinavia’s most iconic seaside sauna facilities, located on the waterfront in Helsingborg.

Venue

During the championship you will have access to:

• Competition sauna (used for Friday practice sessions and all championship performances)
• Wood-fired sauna tent
• Competitor preparation area
• Changing rooms and showers
• Cold bathing in the Öresund
• Drinking water throughout the venue

Please Bring

• Your own aufguss towels for the competition.
• Personal towels for sauna seating, showering and drying after swimming.
• 100% pure essential oils for your performance.

Please note that the jury may request to inspect the original bottles or packaging of your essential oils before or after your performance.
