What a weekend!
For the first time, Swedish Aufguss Society had the honour of hosting the Nordic Championship in Classical Aufguss. The historic Kallis in Helsingborg became the stage for a weekend filled with heat, craftsmanship, passion and community.
Competitors from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden came together to celebrate Classical Aufguss and share their knowledge, experience and passion for sauna culture.
Nordic Championship in Classical Aufguss is more than a competition. It is a meeting place where traditions are preserved, skills are developed and new connections are created across borders.
Classical Aufguss is the foundation of the craft. Just like a house needs a strong foundation, every Aufguss Master benefits from understanding the basics before developing further within modern or show-based Aufguss.
Precision, presence, heat distribution and respect for the sauna tradition are at the heart of Classical Aufguss.

This year’s championship brought together competitors from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. Our ambition is to continue developing the championship and, over time, bring together the entire Nordic Aufguss community as national organisations and collaborations continue to grow.
We hope that the Nordic Championship can contribute to a growing interest in Classical Aufguss and inspire more people to explore, practise and develop this important part of Nordic sauna culture.
Thank You
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the Nordic Championship in Classical Aufguss 2026 possible.
To all competitors who shared their passion and craftsmanship. To our judges and officials. To our volunteers and everyone working behind the scenes. To our audience for bringing energy and warmth to every session.
And, of course, to all our sponsors and partners. Without your support, this championship would not have been possible.
Thank you for an unforgettable weekend in Helsingborg.
